Chat Rules
1.1 Speech agreement. Freedom of Speech is a part of your amendments; however, this independent group can kick or ban any user, or remove any message without a reason. This is a declared written agreement of the rules. Admins will not tolerate comments about this rule, or other rules unless they are suggestions.
1.2 Administration. All admins are permitted to enforce any of these rules. Anything posted with “this ruling is final,” is non negotiable anymore, and is complete. Questions are welcome, but if asked for it to be “dropped” in or out of DM, it is closed. Admin word is final. There is no variation to these rules. There will be no back talking to the admins. Questions are welcomed, but please seek @#16 (Falcon) Elijah Fisher for questions regarding the rulebook. Refusing to respond or comply with any order from an admin, can result in penalization.
1.3 This league will not tolerate targeted hate speech, harassment, homophobic, racial slurs, or discrimination against any religion, or name calling of any kind. Any threat will instantly result in a ban. All nsfw content is not allowed, spare jokes (humor is allowed), but absolutely explicitly sexual content is not allowed. Please refrain from consistent swearing and vulgar language.
1.4 Other Leagues & Drama. Any drama or previous history in other leagues isn’t allowed within this league. Request permission from @#16 (Falcon) Elijah Fisher before posting advertisements.
1.5 Mini Moding / toxicity. We do not tolerate mini Moding or acting like a higher position. Allow admins to answer proper questions. Your help is appreciated, however, the admins have the proper tools and answers. Forms of sophisticated gaslighting will not be tolerated.
1.5 Turtle & Chatter / Silences & Complaints. Yelling is prohibited. If a user in the server states “turtle,” or “chatter,” that request should be granted, especially from admins after stating “chatter.” Turtle is used if a user feels uncomfortable, or wishes for the conversation, heated or not, to be dropped, and should be used in proper moderation. This request will not be granted if the user consistently issues it. You may be subject to penalization if used incorrectly.
1.6 Conversation requests. @#16 (Falcon) Elijah Fisher is always open for DM’s. Questions, conversations, life advice, mental support, and anything else is welcome. Please seek professional help or advice if your life is in crisis, or you are suicidal, first, by calling your emergency local number, or digits “nine one one.”
Racing Rules
2.1 – New Drivers. Drivers who have completed 4 or less races, are placed on an automatic probation. This is a period of time where new drivers will be overlooked to determine that they can remain clean, active, and without causing issues.
2.2 Etiquette. Drivers are responsible for their actions at all times, considering netcode pending the situation. Unintentional blocks or too hard of bumps that force drivers into the wall or wreck other drivers will be considered for a penalty. Bumps and runs and slide jobs are legal, but moving a car more than 1.5 lanes up or into the wall is automatically too much. No intentionally wrecking anyone! Intentional wrecks will be a 2 week suspension. Retaliation is allowed to a minimum. Wrecking someone is breaking the rules. Bumps are fine. Payback is accepted, but dumping another driver is prohibited under any circumstance.
2.3 Activity & Intoxication. Attending the drivers meeting before the race IS mandatory. Skipping qualifying in order to join last moment and thereby skip drivers meeting, is not allowed. Leaving a race without a reason, e.g a non medical or family reason, will only receive you 1 point. Power outages or emergencies must be reported back. If you are heavily intoxicated before or during a race, you will be removed, only receiving last place points.
2.4 EOL’s. The driver who causes a caution will receive an EOL., If Race Control issues you an EOL, you must serve this., Any form of penalty issued by Race Control must be served., Refusal to do so will be an automatic suspension. Only admins or race control can officially tell a driver to retreat to the back, or take a certain lane depending the situation (being a lapped car, has damage, etc)., Drivers can request for an EOL,
2.5 Tickets. Drivers are encouraged to let Race Control know of on track incidents, however, if they feel something was overlooked, or want a perspective on something that cannot, or wasn’t looked at during the race, or wants a secondary review, they can submit this though the ticket-submission system.
2.6 Lapped cars. Cars about to go a lap down can race to stay on the lead lap, but if the leader has been continually gaining, the lapped car must adhere to them. Cars about to go a lap down with 5 to go in any race no matter the track MUST adhere to the leaders. Lapped cars cannot attempt to the pass the leader unless they are able to do so without causing a loss of time to the leader.
2.7 On Track / Off Track. Drivers cannot make unpredictable moves like swerving onto other versions of the track, or by driving through the grass. Drivers must follow the standard course that is being used at all times, unless do to mechanical failure. This rule applied under caution. Wall riding is prohibited, and drivers who suspect someone may be doing it, must report it. You will considered off track for not taking proper pit road etiquette. You must stay to the right when entering pit road, and may only turn towards the left within 5 pit boxes of your box, and can enter your box though 3 extra boxes. This applies for the exit as well, unless there is no room to the far right. (At a right handed pit road road course, this rule applies to staying left).
2.8 Multiple cautions. Cars causing them. Any driver who has caused a caution will be given an EOL penalty. If a second caution is committed by the same driver, they will be given a 30 black flag. If they cause a third caution, they will be parked regardless of damage.
2.9 Choose rule and other yellow flag rules. We do not have a choose rule at this time. You may warm up your tires until the second to last corner. You are not allowed to hang back during a restart. Drivers must remain within a 1 car length gap during a restart. You cannot advance your postion on the inside or outside lane unless the driver in front has a missed shift etc. You cannot change your line until the start/finish line, unless for the above reasoning.
3.1 Communication. Drivers are REQUIRED to call out that they are pitting unless the mirror behind is clear. They must speak on the mic in order to do so. Drivers are only required to be a vc for the drivers meeting, but not during the race. Drivers must remain in the proper voice channels for their designated team in discord, and cannot join a cross team’s voice channel during live races.
3.2 Drivers must complete 25% of the race distance to qualify as a “start” made, unless packet loss causes the disconnection, or weather related. Drivers cannot practice and qualify if they do not intend to race.
3.3 – We are not accepting Part Timers. All drivers signed up currently, and in future, are expected to be full time drivers.
3.4 Drivers must complete 7 of the first 10 starts / races (You have 1 provisional if you can’t attend a race. It won’t count as a start, but will grant you 5 points. It has to be used by week 10 as well).
Drivers must complete a grand total of 19 of the 25 schedule races per season, or their ride next season may be considered up for grabs.
Drivers must start 4 of the 6 playoff races.
Drivers who cannot meet the above parts of rule 3.4 may be subject to not being permitted to race for the remainder of the season, as the admins see fit, as that will be considered abandonment to your number / team. Drivers will only be qualified for playoffs if they start 16 of the 18 regular season races.
3.5 If there is a delayed green, pit road it automatically closed despite iRacing potentially displaying it as open. Race Control will communicate if it can be opened.
3.6 Black flags will not automatically be cleared, and drivers are suggestued to ask Race Control to review them (for example, entering pit road to avoid a wreck, which would be cleared).
3.7 The ticket system is where drivers can issue requests for reviews, or appeal. Reminder, admins can finalize penalties, and close a futher discussion or apeal IF they see it fit. If a penalty is open for appeal, a driver can request an appeal and the case will be opened.
3.8 We do allow for drivers to cross team. The team you are assigned to is the team you must work with. If you do not want to participate in voice channels, you are not required to. But you cannot work with other drivers during the season. (There is exception to this rule for plate tracks for the most part).
View the league-settings to see our race settings, points format, etc.
4.1 iRacing chats. Swearing on the iRacing channel, or @ other drivers in voice chats is prohibited and counts as a secondary rule 1.3
4.2 Trash talk. Banter, casual joking, etc, is fine and within reason is fine. Personal shots, or consistent joking about another driver’s talents will be considered a form a bullying, and will not be tolerated.
4.3 Post race misconduct. After your race is completed, any form of contact until your vehicle is parked will still count towards all rules within this rulebook.
4.4 Conmection issues. If a car is reportedly blinking, or a driver has informed another driver that they are blinking, Race Control will double check. If it is deemed the blinking hasnt corrected within a minute, the blinking car must adhere positions. They will receive EOL’s on all restarts on the blinking subsides, and in poor cases, may need to park until it is corrected.
4.5 In depth ticket submission:
Step 1: How to submit a ticket. Go to the ticket-submission with the following format: (step 2, create the ticket)
Incident (lap #) or reference:
Cars involved:
Notes / extra comments (5 sentences to explain what the admins should look for):
Step 3. Wait. Admins are permitted to take no longer than 48 hours to have a complete review summary.
Step 4. Admin summary will be posted.
4.6 This league will not accept appeals.
4.7 Explanation on admin calls:
Notice: Noting that a correction may be needed.
Warning: A warning issued means that the issue must be corrected or it will lead to further penalties. It is also counted as a strike.
Strikes: 3 strikes means you are out. Race Control will DQ you. In chats, 3 strikes will have you muted for 48 hours.
Second warning: This means you have zero room for another mistake. Another form, including a notice, will put you at subject for penalization.
Probation: This means you will be watched heavily, and any form of further incidents may result in heavier penalties
Suspension: You are ineligible to drive for the time being
Penalty: Admins can give any penalty, amount of points, suspensions and etc as they deem correct.
5.1 If you are damaged, you can pit under caution before it is open. You will receive an EOL for this. You cannot pit on the one to green if it is closed. Doing so you will follow iRacing’s penalty proceedure (40 sec hold).
5.2 Going under rules 2.2 and 2.7 regarding driver etiquette and being responsible for their own actions: for pit road fake outs, you are fully responsible for the move you make. If you cause an incident while trying to fake onto or off of pitroad, you can be subject to a penalty at the discretion of race control.
5.3 You cannot waive other drivers by to the outside on restarts. You must retain your line until the start finish line. Slowing down, motioning other drivers to the outside on restarts, or forcing other drivers to the outside is not allowed
5.4 Road course caution rule. There must be 3 cars in a crash to create a road course caution, unless there is a major track blockage. A single car stopped on track does not get yellow at road courses for solo spins, or spins with 2 car contact
Race Control
6.0 Delayed Greens before the Green Flag. We will automatically add another lap of pace laps before the green flag for every race.
6.1 If there is an incident before the green flag during warm up laps, we will delay another lap. Drivers will be allowed to return to their original position and will have the black flag cleared if there is any. Pit road is listed as closed, but for damaged cars who want to repair, you will have start at the tail end if you pit (as per closed pit rules). If there is an incident before returning to green under a caution, there will be a delayed green. Pits are closed automatically by iRacing. It will be treated as if it is another caution giving a driver an EOL for causing said incident. Cars involved who want to pit will not have any black flags cleared, but can return to their original position.
6.1 It is at Race Control’s discretion for penalizations. If you need a clear, you must state why, and what your black flag is for.
6.2 When needing things reviewed, please ask in the iRacing voice chat. State where & who and what needs to be reviewed. (Don’t form your opinion, just ask for a review e.g “potential jumping the restart from driver 000.”
- Race Control can:
Will review incidents and give proper penalty to driver who caused the incident,
Give EOL’s,
Give 30 sec holds (will appear as 55).,
Black flag for 1 lap,
Issue Drive Thru,
Clear black flags,
Clear DQ if driver is on track, - Race Control cannot, and will not:
Be able to clear DQ if a driver has exited the car,
Clear too many incident points black flag,
Clear meatball flag,
Call caution before last scoring loop off of turn 4 coming to white flag,
Call cautions for solo car spins (iRacing will sometimes throw this for single car spins if they are on track).,
Call a caution when asked. Must be reviewed if driver asks.,
6.2 All cautions will be dictated through Race Control. iRacing cautions will be turned off.
Disclaimer: Cautions have been standardized in Inspired Racing League as needing 2 car contact, unless Race Control finds a solo car spin presents a hazard to coming traffic. Otherwise solo car spins will not be counted as cautions.
6.3 All paint schemes must be family friendly. We accept beer, alcohol, smoke sponsors etc, but our league paint scheme policy strictly prohibits any sexual or visually innapropriate. We do not allow political sponsors either. If you are unsure, post in the paint-schemes-chat and tag @#16 (Falcon) Elijah Fisher for approval if you are unsure
6.4 We do not require any banners to be used in or out of the playoffs
